Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 28 May 2026
These Terms govern your access to and use of MyRota.ie (the "Service"), operated as MyRota.ie, based in Dublin, Ireland ("MyRota", "we", "us").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
MyRota provides a web-based staff scheduling, leave management, compliance and payroll-export service for small and medium-sized businesses, with a particular focus on Irish employment law.
We provide the Service on an "as is" basis. While we provide automated checks against the Organisation of Working Time Act 1997, the Sick Leave Act 2022 and other Irish legislation, MyRota does not provide legal, HR or tax advice. You remain responsible for compliance with the law.
2. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old and authorised to bind the business you are signing up on behalf of.
You are responsible for keeping your password confidential. You must notify us immediately at hello@myrota.ie if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Subscription, billing and cancellation
MyRota is sold on a monthly subscription. Prices are shown in EUR on our Pricing page.
Free trials last 14 days and require no card. After the trial you must choose a paid plan to continue using paid features.
Subscriptions renew automatically each month. You can cancel any time from Settings → Billing; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and no refund is given for unused time, except where required by Irish consumer law.
Payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store full card details.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for anything unlawful, fraudulent or harmful;
- Upload data you have no right to upload (for example, employee data without a lawful basis);
- Reverse-engineer, scrape, or attempt to disrupt the Service;
- Share login credentials between multiple individuals (each user should have their own account);
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written permission.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach this section, usually with notice but immediately for serious or repeated breaches.
5. Your data
You retain ownership of all data you enter into the Service (your rotas, employee records, documents, etc.). We act as a Processor in respect of personal data you enter about your employees — see our Data Processing Agreement.
You can export all your data at any time in CSV / Excel format from the Payroll page and from Settings → Export data.
6. Service availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee a specific uptime SLA on our standard plans. Scheduled maintenance is communicated in advance where reasonably possible.
7. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Irish law, our total liability arising from or relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of goodwill, or for any decision you make based on the Service's compliance checks or exports.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by Irish law (e.g. liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).
8. Termination
You can cancel any time. We can terminate or suspend your account for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we'll give at least 30 days' notice and a refund of any pre-paid unused time).
On termination, your data is retained in read-only mode for 30 days so you can export it. After that it is permanently deleted.
9. Changes
We may change these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after that constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
